I - Ambassadors

• up to five ambassadors per location - if less, ambassadors are encouraged to have many roles!
  • head ambassador → oversees all activity, helps where needed, delegates task…
  • financial advisor → in charge of budgeting, reimbursing where needed, keeping accounts during fundraising events…
  • researcher → looking on the web for associations we can work with, potential speakers…
  • event planners (2) → write emails to teachers & important actors, write out texts promoting events and fundraising campaigns…

Expectations (Jan-April)

• raising $200

• create a cohesive three person team that brings together people with different skills

  • raising awareness or raising funds
  • MUST have around February 6th, likely raising funds (International Zero Tolerance for FGM day)
  • MUST have an event in March (Women’s History Month), preferably around March 8th (International Women’s Day)

  • March 8th - Int’l Women’s day

Recommendation:

• start by raising awareness in your community (school, family via online campaign) to urge interest and find possible volunteers then have fundraising events!

II - Marketing Team

• one responsible per location

Expectations (Sept - Dec)

• respond to our Global Social Media Manager
  • it is possible that you will be asked to create posts for SOG in general.
• take pictures during events (make sure to be present or have someone replace you)
• make posters promoting events / the association in your area (in the native language)
• share stories & posts after event is done
